France has managed to defeat England with a score of 2-1 to advance to the semi-finals of the World Cup.

The Roosters were the first to take a risk with Olivier Giroud shooting over, but Jordan Pickford was on the spot.

But in the 17th minute, France managed to score with Auriel Tchouameni unleashing a powerful shot from distance to find the net for 1-0.

England tried to get back into the game after taking an early risk with Luke Shaw from a free-kick, but Hugo Lloris was on the spot.

After him it was the turn of Harry Kane who, in the 22nd minute, missed a good chance.

The “three lions” asked for a penalty in the 25th minute, but the referee was not of that opinion.

In the last minutes of the first half, there was tempo, but there were no good chances.

The second half started better for the “Three Lions”, where they took risks with Jude Bellingham and Harry Maguire, but Hugo Loris did not allow himself to be surprised.

In the 52nd minute, England won a penalty when Tchouameni brought down Bukayo Sakan in the box. Harry Kane scored from the penalty spot to make it 1-1.

The English had good chances to take the lead, when first Harry Maguire hit the post with a header, while Bellingham went down in the box asking for a penalty, but the referee did not think about the white spot.

In the 77th minute, Giroud shoots beautifully from inside the area, but Pickford made a great save.

After a minute, the Roosters took the lead back to 2-1 when Olivier Giroud found himself well in the area after Antoine Griezmann’s cross to score in Pickford’s goal.

But the 80th minute also shows that this match was fiery, when Mason Mount was tripped by Theo Hernandez in the area, and the referee awarded a penalty after two minutes, after looking at the case in VAR.

Harry Kane once again took the penalty, but this time his shot was weak and over the bar.

In the last minutes, England tried with all their might to find the goal that would send them to the extra time, but they did not succeed.

France advanced to the semi-finals where they will face Morocco.
