Koulibaly: Transfer to Chelsea on track.
Kalidou Koulibaly admits his move to Chelsea is ‘on the right track’, confirming his move from Napoli.
The Senegalese international is close to completing a €40m move to Stamford Bridge this summer, with Chelsea having agreed a fee and personal terms.
Koulibaly has broken his silence with a comment about French journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin.
“I can confirm later, but it’s on the right track,” was his response to a direct question about talks with Chelsea.
Koulibaly arrived at Napoli’s pre-season training camp today, but he looks set to leave soon.
Napoli fans are already angry with president Aurelio De Laurentiis for letting Lorenzo Insigne and Dries Mertens leave on a free transfer, now Koulibaly could also leave after refusing a pay cut to extend his contract until June 2023.
