The most prestigious tournament in the IEM Rio Major has ended after the highly anticipated final between Outsiders and Heroic.
The Outsiders managed to win the IEM Rio Major tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, after a 2-0 map triumph over Team Heroic.
The IEM Rio Major, the tournament that brings together the world’s best teams, now has a new champion, the Outsiders, who won the $500,000 prize.
The second place team won the prize of 170,0000 dollars, as well as 80,000 dollars went to the third and fourth place, and the rewards were not missing for the other participating teams either.
The value of the prizes distributed in the IEM Rio Major tournament reaches the value of 1.2 million dollars.
Part of this tournament was also the Albanian team Bad News Eagles, who finished the competition in 12-14th place, winning the prize of 20,000 dollars.
The most valuable player of the tournament, or in other words MVP, was chosen as the captain of the Outsiders team, Dzhami “Jame” Ali.
