The Nexta media has published a video on Twitter where it is said that the residents of the liberated city of Oleksandrivka welcomed the Ukrainian soldiers with watermelons.
The city of Oleksandrivka is located in the Kherson region.
“Residents of the liberated Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region greet the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with watermelons,” reads the caption of the shared video.
In the video, a moving car can be seen approaching a group of people. A man approaches the car and presents the soldier with a watermelon, a young man also did the same.
Otherwise, Ukraine appears to have regained control of the two main cities of Kupiansk and Izium after a major counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region in recent days.
Pictures released by Ukrainian security forces showed troops in Kupiansk, an important logistical hub for Russian forces in eastern Ukraine.
