Russia spends about 850 million euros a day on the war.

As Russia continues its occupation of Ukraine, severe damage from the Russian economy could be felt for years to come.

Russia’s invasion is now in its third month, and about 850 million euros a day are needed to support the military offensive, said Sean Spoonts, editor-in-chief of SOFREP.

Several factors affect this price, according to the SOFREP rating. This includes the payment of Russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine; providing them with ammunition, bullets and missiles; and the cost of repairing lost or damaged military equipment.

Russia also has to pay for thousands of critical weapons and cruise missiles fired during the war, which cost about 1.4 million euros each, according to Spoonts.

These figures do not take into account how much Russia may have lost financially due to the severe economic sanctions imposed on it after the start of aggression in late February.

These sanctions could remain in place even if Russia withdraws its troops, according to the White House.
