Usyk receives permission from the Ukrainian minister.

Oleksandr Usyk has confirmed that he will face Anthony Joshua again, for the world title fight that will take place in June.

Usyk was contracted to give Joshua a rematch despite beating the Briton last September to become heavyweight champion at the IBF, WBO and WBA.

After Russia invaded Ukraine, Usyk returned home to join the Ukrainian armed forces in defending Kiev’s territory and was unsure if a rematch with Joshua would take place.

But the Ukrainian boxer has received a special permit from the Minister of Sports of Ukraine to leave his country and start training to face Joshua.

“I decided to start preparations for a rematch with Anthony Joshua, a large number of my friends supported me, all the best and peace. Thank God for everything,” said Usyk.”

This fight is one of the most requested rematches by all the boxing fans
