Pope Francis: In the name of God, stop this massacre.

Pope Francis again called today to end the “massacre” in Ukraine, stressing that the attack on civilians is not justified.

The Pope called for negotiations and the creation of humanitarian corridors, stressing that children must first be considered.

The Ukrainian city of Mariupol, a strategic port in southern Ukraine, “became a martyr city in a terrible war that is destroying Ukraine,” the Roman Catholic leader said in a Sunday prayer.

“Unacceptable armed aggression must simply be stopped before it can turn cities into cemeteries,” said Pope Francis.

Calling for negotiations and the efficient establishment of humanitarian corridors, the Pope said, “In the name of God, please stop this massacre!”

Otherwise, Russia has continued today with bombings in Ukraine, where recently an American journalist also died.
