Johnson fears Putin may use chemical weapons.
The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has stated that he fears that Russian President Vladimir Putin may deploy chemical weapons in Ukraine.
Johnson reiterated fears by Western officials that Putin might use chemical weapons in Ukraine after Moscow accused Kiev of planning to deploy them on the battlefield.
“The things you hear about chemical weapons are out of their book,” he said.
“They are starting to say that there are chemical weapons stored by their opponents or by the Americans. “And when they put in chemical weapons themselves, as I’m afraid they might, they have a kind of maskirovka – a false story – ready to go.”
“You have seen him in Syria. You have also seen it in the UK. This is what they are already doing. “It’s a cynical, barbaric government,” he said.
