Pictures of watermelons have appeared all over social media, especially on Friday.
But what do they mean?
Most watermelons in Ukraine come from the Kherson region.
They are shipped across the Dnipro River to the capital, Kiev, and are so popular that the ship has its own Twitter account.
But because Kherson had been under Russian occupation, Ukrainian farmers were unable to transport their watermelons.
As such, the watermelon became a symbol of Kherson and the territories under Russian control.
Otherwise, Ukrainian soldiers have been welcomed in Kherson by jubilant residents, after Russia said it had fully withdrawn from the key southern city.
Some footage released showed locals on the streets, holding the Ukrainian national flag and cheering as Kiev troops arrived.
Kherson was the only regional capital taken by Russia after the aggression started at the end of February, while the withdrawal has been seen as one of the biggest “failures” of the war.
Moscow said 30,000 personnel had been evacuated from the area – as well as around 5,000 pieces of military equipment, weaponry and other assets.
The White House hailed what it called an “extraordinary victory,” while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called it a “historic day.”
