The chief adviser of the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, reiterated that the Crimean bridge should be destroyed.
Writing on social networks, Mykhailo Podoliak said that Ukraine has never given permission for the construction of the bridge and that it is an “illegal object”.
“It damages the ecology of the peninsula and therefore must be dismantled. It doesn’t matter how – voluntarily or not,” he said. We emphasize that in the past days he gave an interview where he also showed the strategy of the Ukrainian forces.
“Our strategy is to destroy logistics, supply lines and ammunition depots and other military infrastructure facilities. This creates chaos within their forces,” he said.
Podoliak, who had been a negotiator of peace talks in the early stages of the conflict, said there was no prospect of Russia negotiating seriously until it had suffered a defeat on the battlefield.
He said some unnamed European countries were “under the illusion” that the Kremlin might seek talks in good faith.
