Snapchat now also available on the web.

Unlike many other social media platforms, Snapchat has only been available on phones since its launch over a decade ago.

However, on Monday the company launched a web-based version of the popular messaging app.

The goal is to give users the freedom to switch from their phones to their computers, all while continuing their conversations on the platform.

With the web option, you can sign in with your Snapchat account and send private messages or call friends on desktop.

Initially, the desktop platform will be available exclusively to Snapchat Plus subscribers and is the first major feature launch since Snap announced the paid subscription in June.

Subscribers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will get access first.

Snapchat will only be compatible with Google’s Chrome browser and not Apple’s Safari.
