A video of Iranian policemen sexually assaulting women protesters while trying to arrest them in broad daylight has sparked outrage on social media.
Users expressed their anger and many demanded “justice” and the resignation of the police chief.
Some pro-government users also condemned the perpetrators.
Despite the blocking of some social media tools, Iranians still manage to share footage from the protests.
The country has been rocked by the most intense unrest in decades following ongoing human rights violations.
Protests erupted last month when anger boiled over the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in police custody.
Officials say she died because of her medical condition, but her family says she died after being beaten by morality police for not covering her face while walking down the street.
