“Big wheel” crashes to the ground in India

Amusment

This is the moment the “big wheel” at a playground falls from a height of more than 10 meters in Punjab, northern India.

Police launched an investigation into what caused the crash on September 4. Footage showed the “big wheel” spinning and losing speed before falling instead of slowing down.

The crash throws tourists out of their seats as it crashes into the platform. Onlookers can be heard screaming, watching as their loved ones fall straight down without stopping.

From the accident, 15-16 people were injured, among them children, while five were hospitalized in the nearby hospital. “A carnival was being organized and the eyewitness told us that there was a technical obstacle”, said the police.
