A fire broke out in a church in Egypt

The Egyptian Minister of Health has announced that several people have lost their lives from a fire that broke out inside a church in the city of Giza near Cairo.

The church also quoted the Minister of Health, stressing that 41 people lost their lives and 55 others were injured in the fire inside the church, at the time when mass was being held in Abu Sifin.

Two sources within the police in Egypt have announced that a short connection caused the fire inside the church where there were 5 thousand believers.

Over 15 fire trucks responded to the fire call, and many ambulances were seen heading to the scene.

On the other hand, the president of the country, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, spoke on the phone with the head of the church – Tawadros II, to whom he expressed his condolences.
