Conte: Spurs will compete for all trophies.
Antonio Conte wants Tottenham Hotspur to challenge for four trophies in the 2022/2023 season, but has made it clear that new signings are needed for that to happen.
Spurs have made five new signings so far to strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.
The English club has transferred Richarlison (Everton), Yves Bissouma (Brighton), Clement Lenglet (loan from Barcelona) and Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster as free players.
Although he is happy about the new signings, Conte still wants new players in order to compete for trophies next season.
“Our plan was very clear about the positions we needed to improve. We succeeded, the club engaged very well in this transfer window…”.
“The quick transfer of five players was a good thing. And now we will see. We always want to strengthen the team if there is an opportunity”.
“We want to strengthen ourselves numerically, because it is difficult to play in four competitions. A very good team is needed, numerically and qualitatively. We’ll see what happens. In the following months, if there is an opportunity to strengthen the team, we will do it”, the Italian strategist told reporters.
