Chisora triumphs over Pulev in the heavyweight superfight.
Derek Chisora has managed to win the rematch against Kubrat Pulev in the heavyweight category after 12 rounds.
Tonight (Saturday) saw two of the biggest names in the heavyweight division of the last decade go head-to-head at London’s O2 Arena.
The pair last fought in 2016, with Pulev emerging victorious on that occasion. However, this was a close fight with the result being decided by the judges as a split decision.
A great and interesting fight took place even today in the rematch of two great boxers and it was decided only in the end with a split decision by the judges.
But this time the winner was Chisora, who received more points from two judges, unlike Pulev who was evaluated by one.
(116-112 for Pulev, 116-112 and 116-114 for Chisora) were the score results from the judges.
The match saw a lot of fight from both fighters, who saw frequent hard shots, with Chisora getting the better of the early rounds, Pulev stronger in the middle of the fight and the Briton coming back again at the end for ensure the victory.
This defeat gives confidence and motivation to Chisora, who now has the road open to head towards the matches where he competes for the world title.
