Real Madrid signs with Vinicius Tobias from Shakhtar.
Shakhtar Donetsk has confirmed that Vinicius Tobias has signed with Real Madrid.
The 18-year-old Brazilian defender joins Los Blancos on loan until the end of the season and will play for Castilla.
Vinicius signed for Shakhtar only in January, but was unable to make his debut for the Ukrainians due to the conflict with Russia.
Since then, FIFA has allowed players in the Ukrainian league to move out of the transfer window, allowing Real Madrid to make their move.
Real Madrid has the option to make Vinicius’ signing permanent if he impresses with his appearances on the reserve team.
Madrid has a long history of Brazilian defenders, including legendary figures like Roberto Carlos and Marcelo, down to Cicinho who is not that he shone much.
