Explosion on the main warship Moskva.
The Russian Defense Ministry said it was investigating what happened to the main Russian warship called Moskva.
Ukraine said it had hit the ship with an anti-ship missile, forcing its crew to abandon the ship.
The ministry denied reports that the warship had sunk at the bottom of the Black Sea.
He said Moskva was “kept alive” with the fires extinguished and the crew transferred to another ship.
Dmitry Peskov, Vladimir Putin’s top spokesman, was unable to give a reason for the explosion on the warship, saying: “This is a topic for the Ministry of Defense.”
Ukraine’s southern military command said on Thursday it struck the Moskva with a Neptune missile and that the ship had started sinking.
