Justice Minister Promises State Support for Terror Victims on National Remembrance Day

On the national day commemorating the victims of terrorist violence, German Justice Minister Stefanie Hubig (SPD) pledged state support for those affected. Speaking to the “Rheinische Post” in its Wednesday issue, she declared that the day sends an unmistakable message: the state will remain steadfastly on the side of victims. The memorial urges everyone to listen, be present, and provide help-especially in the darkest hours when a hand of support can make a difference. Hubig reminded that terrorism targets all of us, yet the attacks specifically affect individual families and friends, causing death, injury, trauma and loss. The national day is meant to honor those who have endured extreme suffering or have been killed by terror.
