The heads of state and government of France, Germany and the United Kingdom condemned Iran’s missile attacks on countries in the region as “unprovoked and disproportionate”. These strikes also targeted states that had no involvement in the original U.S. and Israeli military operations.
In a joint statement on Sunday, the three governments called on Iran to halt the attacks immediately and announced that they would take measures to protect their own “interests” and those of their allies. The measures could include “necessary and proportionate” defensive military actions aimed at destroying Iran’s capability to launch missiles and drones.
The three nations agreed to cooperate with the United States and other regional partners on the issue.
