On Saturday, France, Germany and the United Kingdom demanded that Iran halt its nuclear programme and curb its ballistic‑missile development. The leaders of the three countries also urged Tehran to avoid “destabilising activities in the region” and to end the violence inflicted on its own citizens.
The E3 states said they had not taken part in the recent military strikes but are “in close contact” with international partners such as the United States and Israel. They reaffirmed their commitment to regional stability and to the protection of civilians.
In their statement the leaders sharply condemned Iran’s attacks on other countries in the region, calling on Tehran to stop “arbitrary military strikes”. They called for a resumption of negotiations and emphasised that the Iranian people must be able to shape their own future.
