Liverpool has been selected as the host city for the 67th edition of Eurovision, after a close race with Glasgow.
The Eurovision Song Contest 2023 Grand Final will take place at the Liverpool Arena on Saturday 13 May while the semi-finals will be held on Tuesday 9 May and Thursday 11 May.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will organize the Competition in consultation with UA: PBC, the public broadcaster of Ukraine and last year’s winners of the festival. Eurovision Song Contest Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl said after the announcement:
“Liverpool is the ideal place to host the 67th Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Ukraine. The city is synonymous with music and the Liverpool Arena exceeds all the requirements necessary to organize a global event of this scale,” says the official Eurovision website.
