A fictional K-pop girl group continues its reign atop the German music charts, marking an unprecedented sixth consecutive week at number one. “Golden” performed by Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami as part of the fictional group Huntrix from the Netflix animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” maintains its dominant position, according to data released Monday by GfK.
Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” and Jazeek’s “Akon” secure the subsequent placements in the singles chart. New entries this week include hip-hop collective Bobby Vandamme, 3robi & Chahid with “Andere Niveau” and singers Lady Gaga (“The Dead Dance”) and Nina Chuba (“3 Uhr Nachts”), landing at positions eleven, twelve and eighteen respectively.
The album charts see RAF Camora’s newest release, “Forever” claiming the top spot. Swiss & Die Andern’s “Punk ist tot” claims the second position, while the soundtrack for “KPop Demon Hunters” also demonstrates strong performance, securing third place in the album rankings.
These official German charts are compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Federal Association of the Music Industry and are reported to encompass 90 percent of all recorded music sales within the country.
