Winter wheat continues to be the dominant crop cultivated in Germany, with planted areas expanding to 286 million hectares The estimated harvest volume is approximately 225 million tonnes – a 26 percent increase compared to 2024 and 64 percent above the multi-year average

Quality assessments are ongoing, but initial analysis shows an average crude protein content of 120 percent, a slight increase from the previous year, with further samples still being evaluated Winter rapeseed was grown on 109 million hectares – a stable figure consistent with 2024 and above the multi-year average – resulting in a harvest of nearly four million tonnes, representing a 94 percent increase year-on-year
