Zelensky says that negotiations with Russia may stop

Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned of the possibility of the termination of negotiations with Russia, if Moscow continues with the plan to trial the Ukrainian soldiers who were captured in Mariupol.

“If the disgusting judicial process continues, it would mean a violation of the lines that would make it impossible to continue the negotiations,” Zelensky said in his latest address.

“There will be no more negotiations, our state has already said what it wanted to say,” he added.

On the other hand, the Russian ambassador to the United Nations, Gennady Gatilov, said that the Turkish president tried to facilitate the dialogue between the two countries – as a guarantor state.

On the other hand, he has denied speculations about talks between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin – stressing that “there was no practical platform for this meeting”.

We remind you that the talks between Ukraine and Russia have stalled on most topics – despite the fact that an agreement was recently reached on the safe transportation of grain from Ukrainian ports.

And if the negotiations stop, it would give little hope that the war would end in the near future.
