Borussia Mönchengladbach has confirmed the loan of forward Tomas Cvancara to Turkish Süper Lig side Antalyaspor, extending until the end of the 2025/26 season. The announcement came Saturday evening, following earlier confirmation of the club’s acquisition of Shuto Machino from Holstein Kiel.
Sporting Director Roland Virkus stated that the loan provides Cvancara “a new opportunity to realize his potential in a different environment”. He added that the arrangement is viewed as mutually beneficial for both the player and the club.
Cvancara joined Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer of 2023, transferring from Sparta Prague. During his initial season with the club, despite a roughly two-month injury layoff, he featured in 24 matches, scoring six goals and providing two assists. In the most recent 2024/25 season, the Czech international made 30 appearances on the field, netting two goals.
