Sources indicate a discussion regarding the right-wing activist Martin Sellner took place within the AfD’s federal executive committee on Monday. According to reports from “Welt” a member of the executive committee, during a conference call addressing the recent Federal Administrative Court’s ruling concerning “Compact” which named Sellner, cautioned against any further collaboration or joint events with him. The warning emphasized that such actions could be detrimentally portrayed in future legal proceedings against the AfD. Reportedly, there was consensus amongst the executive committee members on this point, with no objections raised.
While a formal resolution was not adopted, an agreement was made to advise the state chairpersons at the next joint session, scheduled in two weeks, to encourage their respective state branches to maintain distance from Sellner, a figure associated with the “Identity Movement”. The Federal Administrative Court’s ruling stated that Sellner’s “Remigration Concept” violates the Basic Law.
