The United States has reportedly destroyed several Iranian nuclear facilities, with US President Donald Trump describing the recent attack as a “spectacular military success”. In a televised address on Saturday evening, Trump claimed that the three most important Iranian facilities had been “completely and totally eliminated”. He also warned that the Iranian regime must be prepared for peace, or else “there will be more targets”.
Trump praised the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, for their joint efforts, stating that they had worked together in a “team like no other before”. The address concluded with the US President’s words of devotion to a higher power, “We love you, God”, he said.
According to US media reports, B-2 bombers, capable of carrying bunker-busting bombs, were used in the attack. The Fordo nuclear facility, located approximately 95 kilometers southwest of Tehran, is situated in a mountain and features a tunnel system that extends 60 to 90 meters beneath the earth’s surface.
