Two Young Men Killed in Severe Traffic Accident in Gelnhausen
A devastating traffic accident in Gelnhausen, Germany, has claimed the lives of two young men, according to the South Hesse Police.
The incident occurred early Thursday morning, around 3 am, on the ‘Am Galgenfeld’ street, as a 25-year-old driver was heading in the direction of the Hallenbad in an Audi. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver was traveling at an excessive speed and ran a red light at the intersection with Freigerichter Street, colliding frontally with a parked truck.
Both the driver and his 17-year-old passenger, who were trapped in the vehicle, succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The estimated damage to the vehicles is around €100,000.
