The Danish rock band Volbeat has reached the top of the official German album charts with their new album “God Of Angels Trust”, according to the GfK, a market research company, which announced the news on Friday. The band completed the album in just five weeks, securing their fifth number-one success in Germany.

The top five positions in the album chart are occupied by Willkuer’s “Drei”, Enhypen’s “Desire: Unleash”, the Calimeros’ “Verliebtes Herz an Bord”, Turnstile’s “Never Enough” and Little Simz’s “Lotus”.

In the single chart, Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” maintains its lead, followed by Pashanim & Ceren’s “Shabab(e)s im VIP” and Nina Chuba’s “Wenn das Liebe ist”. The strongest new entries come from the rap acts Dardan & Morad, RAF Camora and the pop singer Sabrina Carpenter, with their songs “Tutto Bene”, “Bottega” and “Manchild”, respectively, entering the chart at positions nine, fourteen and seventeen.

The official German charts, compiled by GfK Entertainment on behalf of the Federal Association of the German Music Industry, account for 90 percent of all music sales in the country.
