In the ongoing debate about the future of the European Supply Chain Act, Development Minister Reem Alabali-Radovan (SPD) has contradicted Chancellor Friedrich Merz (CDU) and called for its retention. “It is about human rights, it is about child labor, it is about environmental protection – the European Supply Chain Act exists for good reasons and nothing has changed in this regard” said the minister to the “Redaktionsnetzwerk Deutschland” (Thursday edition).
“The coalition agreement does not provide for the abolition of the act, but rather a practical implementation – also for the economy. We orient ourselves towards this” said the SPD politician.
