Oscar Piastri Wins the Miami Grand Prix and Extends His Lead in the Driver’s Championship
Oscar Piastri, the driver of the McLaren team, won the Miami Grand Prix and secured his fourth victory of the season. In a thrilling race, Piastri managed to beat his teammate Lando Norris and Mercedes star George Russell. With this win, Piastri further increases his lead in the driver’s championship.
The remaining points finishers were Max Verstappen (Red Bull), Alex Albon (Williams), Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc (both Ferrari), Carlos Sainz (Williams) and Yuki Tsunoda (Racing Bulls).
The race was characterized by the dominance of the two McLaren drivers, who soon swallowed up the bravely fighting Max Verstappen, who despite starting from pole position, was not able to achieve much. During a safety car phase, Russell also managed to overtake the Dutchman.
