An ammunition depot in Belgorod is engulfed in flames.
Russia’s regional governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said early this morning that an ammunition depot in Russia’s Belgorod region was on fire after a series of explosions.
And for this, he blamed the Ukrainian side – a claim for which, at the moment there is no confirmation.
The village of Staraya Nelidovka is located about 16 kilometers north of the border with Ukraine and is just as far from the city of Belgorod.
“According to preliminary information, an ammunition depot is burning near the village of Stara Nelidovka. No damage was caused to residential buildings and houses. “There were no civilian casualties,” Gladkov said.
Belgorod province borders the Ukrainian regions of Luhansk, Sumy and Kharkiv, where fierce fighting has been raging since Russia invaded Ukraine two months ago.
