Blinken: Russia is failing in the war.
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke to the media after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kiev.
He said Russia was continuing to try and “brutalize” parts of Ukraine, adding that Ukrainians were “responding strongly” to the bloody war.
Blinken also stressed that Russia is failing in the war launched, while Ukraine is succeeding.
Recall that Moscow had thought that Russia would quickly end this war, underestimating the capabilities of Ukrainian troops.
“Ukraine, sovereign and independent, will be much longer than Vladimir Putin will be in power in Russia,” Blinken added.
The Secretary of State even announced that together with the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, they had traveled to Kiev by train from Poland.
