Zelensky: Ukraine was just the beginning.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke last night as Russian aggression continues for another day.
Referring to comments made by Russian General Rustam Minnekayev on Friday, Zelensky said it was clear that Ukraine was just the beginning.
Earlier, Mr Minnekayev, deputy commander of Russia’s central military district, said Moscow had plans to occupy the entire eastern Donbas region.
The forces would then link up with the Crimean peninsula and take over all of southern Ukraine, as far as a Russian-occupied separatist region of Moldova.
Zelensky said the comments make it clear that Russia has plans to invade other countries and that Ukraine was just a starting point.
He added that Western allies are now offering the weapons Ukraine has demanded, including a new pledge of $ 800 million in US military aid.
