Borussia Dortmund has taken back the loaned midfielder Salih Özcan from VfL Wolfsburg, the club announced on Tuesday. This move comes in response to the injury of Felix Nmecha, a key midfielder for the team. Özcan, a Turkish international, joined Wolfsburg on a loan in the summer, but mostly came off the bench and did not feature in the team since the start of the year.

Özcan has been under contract with Dortmund since the summer of 2022 and has since made 49 Bundesliga and 16 Champions League appearances for the team.
