Trump Claims US Forces Killed Major ISIS Commander Attacking Terror Group's Power

Nigerian and US forces reportedly killed a high-ranking ISIS commander according to the White House. US President Donald Trump stated on his own platform, Truth Social, that the operation was carried out “under his directive” and significantly weakened the terrorist organization’s power. Trump identified the killed commander as Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, whom he described as the “most active terrorist in the world” and reportedly the ISIS second-in-command globally. He added that al-Minuki had mistakenly believed he could hide in Africa without the US knowing that it had sources tracking his activities. The US President thanked the Nigerian government for its cooperation. Previously, Trump had ordered military action against ISIS in Nigeria after accusing the group of persecuting Christians in the West African nation.
