Missile Attack

Fifteen killed after Russian missile hits apartment block.

Earlier it was reported that several Russian missiles destroyed a five-story building in the eastern Ukrainian city of Chasiv Yar.

At least 15 people have now been killed in the attack – while Pavlo Kyrylenko, the governor of the Donetsk region, says at least 20 more people may be trapped under the rubble.

The rocket attack is the latest in a chain of attacks with multiple casualties on civilian buildings.

Chasiv Yar is located about 20 kilometers south-east of Kramatorsk, a city which is expected to be a main target of Russian forces that have started to move towards the western part.

Donetsk region is one of two provinces that together with Luhansk make up the Donbas region, where separatist rebels have been fighting Ukrainian forces since 2014.

Last week, Russia had captured the town of Lysychansk, which was the last Ukrainian bastion of military resistance in Luhansk.
