Truss and Sunak advanced to the final round.
The results of the final round of MP voting in the Conservative leadership election have been announced by the chairman of the 1922 committee, Sir Graham Brady.
Rishi Shunak, the chancellor of the exchequer, has secured the most votes compared to two other candidates for the head of the party that leads the British government. He won 137 votes.
The second is the Foreign Minister of Great Britain, Liz Truss, who received the trust of 113 MPs.
Penny Mordaunt has been eliminated from the race after receiving the fewest votes, namely 105.
The winner will be announced on Monday 5 September after a postal vote of 160,000 Conservative party members.
We remind you that the winner will also take over the leadership of the government after Boris Johnson resigned weeks ago.
Otherwise, the final two candidates have agreed to take part in a head-to-head debate on Monday 25 July.
