Russia has changed its intentions in Ukraine.
Russia’s “geographical targets” in Ukraine have changed to include not only the separatist people’s republics of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine, but also a number of other regions, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
“Now (our) geography is different. It is not only DNR and LNR, it is also Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia and a number of other territories,” he said in an interview.
Lavrov linked the change in goals to the Western delivery of weapons to Kiev. He said that Russia cannot accept that “in the parts of Ukraine that will be controlled by Zelensky or whoever will replace him, there are weapons that will pose a direct threat to our territory and the territory of those republics that have declared their independence “.
