Liz Truss will run for the next Prime Minister of the UK.
The British Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss, has announced that she will run to be the leader of the Conservatives in the United Kingdom.
This makes her the 10th candidate who has been officially declared.
Liz said that she would “start cutting taxes from day one” if she became prime minister.
Ms Truss, 46, has long been touted as a possible successor to Boris Johnson and has been shown to be popular among Conservative Party members in polls.
Ms Truss has been an MP since 2010 and began climbing the ministerial ladder shortly after entering parliament.
She is the longest-serving member of the Cabinet, having held posts under David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson.
