Kuleba: Russians want blood and not negotiations.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba today demanded more weapons and additional sanctions after Moscow’s announcement of the expansion of the offensive in Ukraine.
“The Russians want blood, not negotiations. I call on all partners to strengthen sanctions against Russia and accelerate the delivery of weapons to Ukraine,” Kuleba wrote on Twitter.
He reacted to the announcement by his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, that Moscow will not focus exclusively on the east of Ukraine and that negotiations between the two countries “make no sense” in the current situation.
“The confessions of the Russian foreign minister about his dream of conquering other Ukrainian territories prove that Russia rejects diplomacy and focuses on war and terror,” the Ukrainian minister said.
Russia’s “geographical objectives” in Ukraine have changed to include not only the separatist people’s republics of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine, but also a number of other regions, Lavrov claimed.
“Now (our) geography is different. It is not only DNR and LNR, it is also Kherson region, Zaporizhzhia and a number of other territories,” he said.
Otherwise, Russia has continued today with attacks causing casualties and material damage.
