Kremlin says Putin is not sick.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Thursday that reports suggesting something is wrong with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s health “are nothing but hoaxes.”
When asked about the health of the Russian president at a press conference, Peskov said that Putin feels “well” and that “he is in good health.”
Putin had cold symptoms during his visit to Tehran on Tuesday and coughed during meetings the next day, which he attributed to the heat and strong climate.
“Yesterday it was very hot in Tehran – plus 38, and the air conditioner was working fully, so I apologize,” Putin said during a video conference on Wednesday.
Vladimir Putin is “absolutely very healthy,” CIA Director William Burns said Wednesday but he admitted that this was not “an official intelligence judgement”.
“There are a lot of rumors about President Putin’s health, and as far as we can tell, he is completely healthy,” he said.
