Four injured in Washington shooting.
Four people were injured on Friday in the US capital as the suspect was today found dead.
A man and a woman were seriously injured while a 12 year old suffered minor injuries. An elderly woman who was also injured did not require hospitalization.
The police department tweeted in the evening that Raymond Spencer, 23, of Fairfax, Virginia, was identified as a person of interest.
Chief of the D.C. Police Robert Contee said they believe the suspect took his own life as they were entering the apartment where he was located.
The shooting caused a school in the area to block its doors, disrupted traffic, and prompted police to warn for hours that there was an active threat in the area.
Officers recovered firearms and multiple rounds of ammunition inside the apartment where the suspect was found deceased.
