Citizens in Bucha were treated worse than animals.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke to the media during his visit to Bucha, a city where Russian forces have massacred civilians.
Despite the fact that people have suffered a lot here, Zelensky told reporters that residents are showing their generosity – making sure those animals that no longer have their owners are left free.
“It is a characteristic of our people, treat animals as you would like to treat humans,” Zelensky said.
“But as you can see what has been done to this modern city. This is a characteristic of Russian soldiers – they treat people worse than animals. “What you have seen today is a real genocide,” added President Zelensky.
The Ukrainian president has accused Russia of “delaying” peace talks in Turkey, openly expressing anger that this is only complicating the situation on the ground.
