On Tuesday, the Dax index slightly declined. At the Xetra market close, the index was calculated at 20,329.16 points, a minus of 0.08 percent compared to the previous day’s close.
The largest losses were seen in the papers of Siemens Energy, with a decline of over three percent, followed by Beiersdorf and Rheinmetall. At the top of the price list, the Sartorius shares gained over six percent, followed closely by those of Qiagen and Siemens Healthineers.
Market observers noted that the expected correction in prices did not materialize because further impulses from the US are expected. As a result, new records remain in reach.
The European common currency was weaker on Tuesday afternoon: one euro cost 1.0505 US dollars, and one dollar was worth 0.9519 euros.
The gold price was able to profit, with 2,690 US dollars paid for one fine ounce (+1 percent) at the afternoon price, which corresponds to a price of 82.32 euros per gram.
Meanwhile, the oil price rose: a barrel of the North Sea’s Brent type cost 72.66 US dollars at around 5 pm German time, an increase of 52 cents or 0.7 percent from the previous day’s close.
