It’s different for people living off transfer income, which is the majority. “They can, of course, only stay with us as long as the legal grounds for it exist, and that was the civil war” said the former Federal Minister of Justice. Therefore, the federal government must sound out the situation in Syria to quickly clarify the situation, so that the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees can make decisions on asylum applications from Syrians again.
At the same time, it’s necessary to support Syria so that stability, peace, and security prevail in the country. “Because it’s in our interest that the people who are currently living here on the basis of our solidarity can quickly return to their homeland again.
