The Shocking Decision That Upended Europe’s Asylum Policy!!

After the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bamf) appears to be temporarily not processing asylum applications from Syrians.

The situation in Syria is untransparent, a spokesperson of the authority told “Der Spiegel”. It is difficult to predict how it will develop politically in Syria. Serious assessments are thus not possible. Every decision would stand “on shaky legs”, the spokesperson said.

According to the report, there are currently 47,270 asylum applications from Syrians that have not been decided on at the authority, including roughly 46,000 new applications. Existing decisions remain unaffected by the stop.
