According to a new study by the Atlantic Council, Russia as we know it today may not survive the next decade.
A survey of 167 analysts, who shared their views on what geopolitics, social and political movements and other areas might look like in 10 years, showed that Russia is in danger of not surviving in its current state.
The survey showed that 40 percent of analysts predict that Russia will experience internal disintegration by 2033.
They declare that the reasons for this will be the revolution, the civil war or the disintegration of politics.
Some 46 percent of analysts expect Russia to become a failed state in the next 10 years, or disintegrate by 2033.
The Atlantic Council also said Europeans are particularly pessimistic about the fall of Russia, with 49 percent predicting it will happen.
