AfD Considers Legal Action Against CDU Over Flyer

The AfD party has signaled that it is considering taking legal action against the CDU over a specific brochure. This information was provided to the news portal T-Online by AfD Federal Treasurer and Executive Board member, Carsten Hütter, who stated that the party is reviewing whether to proceed with legal measures regarding the publication. Hütter claimed that the brochure represents the CDU’s “last effort” because the party can no longer compete with them politically.

The CDU is selling the brochure through its online shop, where it can be requested free of charge in packages of 25. The publication is titled, “Decline for Germany. No Alternative” and carries the subtitle: “Anti-democratic. Antisemitic. National Socialist”. Sources report that the material may also be available at the CDU party headquarters.

Previously, the “Neue Zürcher Zeitung” covered the brochure, reporting that the AfD reportedly advocates for a “one-party state” reminiscent of the GDR or Nazi Germany. Furthermore, the NZZ cited concerns that “Jewish hatred” is a “firm component” of the AfD, and that the party openly supports the deportation of millions of citizens, with “remigration” identified as the central concept for this policy.
